International author, Tambra Raye Stevenson, founder and CEO of WANDA: Women Advancing Nutrition Dietetics and Agriculture based in Washington, D.C., performed a special reading to the patients and staff at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital.
Stevenson is the author of the bilingual children’s series, Where’s WANDA? Inspiring girls to become food sheroes across Africa and the Diaspora. Using the power of eduatainment, she is blending girl power with gamifying nutrition education. As a 2014 National Geographic Traveler of the Year, Stevenson’s passion focuses on reconnecting her food roots to improve health of her community. Her work has been highlighted in Forbes, Washington Post, Food Tank and National Geographic Traveler Magazine.
Stevenson is a native of Oklahoma.
