Grand Opening of Miracle Stadium

Miracle Stadium

The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital is now Bethany Children’s Health Center.

On October 18, 2021, The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital held the Grand Opening of Miracle Stadium and the Adaptive Recreation and Fine Arts Center on the hospital campus in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Cheers at the gameThe ballfield is part of a $5.8 million project focused on offering children of differing abilities ways to explore, experiment and practice all of life’s important skills in a safe and realistic environment, along with participating in a variety of arts and adaptive sports activities.

The Adaptive Recreation and Fine Arts Center opened earlier this year, and the final phase of this project will include a splash pad and playground area with adaptive swings specifically designed for children with wheelchairs.

The Grand Opening of Miracle Stadium celebrated the joy of sports and its many benefits for all children. It was a blessing for hospital and foundation leadership to stand on the field and acknowledge everyone who contributed to the fulfillment of this dream, followed by watching children make their first hits and round the bases like superstars.

The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital would like to thank the sponsors and donors who made this day a reality, along with our employees, patients, families and the Bethany community. Special thanks go out to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Michael Fulmer of the Detroit Tigers for throwing the first pitch, and Factor 110 for making it the best event ever.

This new multipurpose field will enhance the potential of every child at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital through healthy physical activity, sports, and community interaction. We are so grateful for all of the joy that was experienced on Monday and look forward to much more to come.
