The Easter Bunny recently visited The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital. Staff from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office brought the Easter Bunny to visit with patients, take pictures and deliver stuffed animals. Many patients at the Hospital are unable to spend Easter at home or see the Easter Bunny so this visit helped make their Easter extra special.
The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital has worked with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office for 12 years to bring the Easter Bunny to visit patients. The partnership was created through The Easter Bunny Foundation, which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a visit from the Easter Bunny during the week of Easter to patients in children’s hospitals across the United States.
Cpl. Joseph Wood, with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, assisted the Easter Bunny in passing out stuffed animals. This was his first visit to the Hospital. “It was an honor to see all the smiles and share the laughter with the patients. It warms our hearts to know we can continue to come here for years to come,” said Wood.
