The Bethany Bronchos and Blanchard Lions hit the gridiron for the ninth annual The Children’s Center Bowl (TCC Bowl). The Bronchos won the coveted TCC Bowl Cup with a 24 to 13 victory over the Lions. The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital and Bethany Public Schools continue to build on this annual tradition, which has become bigger and better each year.
Patients from The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital joined the coin toss, performed with the cheerleaders and served as co-captains at the game. A check for $11,300 was presented to the Hospital at halftime, bringing the nine-year total to over $94,000.
“We are thankful for Bethany Public School’s support of our patients,” said Albert Gray, chief executive officer of The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital. “We also appreciate the willingness of Blanchard Public Schools to team with Bethany to raise money and compete for the TCC Bowl Cup.”
Both schools worked to raise money through various activities like, penny wars, hat day, electronics day and pajama day. Fans also had a chance to show their support for the Hospital by making donations at the gate and in the stands during the game. All proceeds are going towards funding a new therapy pool for the patients.
Local businesses in Bethany and Blanchard also joined the community in raising money for the Hospital. To learn more about The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital or to make a donation, please click here.
