Chief Executive Officer
Nico Gomez joined the staff at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital in 2020. As Chief Executive Officer, Gomez provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of hospital activities to ensure compliance with established objectives and the realization of quality, economical health care services, and other related lines of business. Prior to joining the hospital, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Care Providers Oklahoma (the state’s largest nursing home association) and enjoyed a 16-year career at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, the state Medicaid agency. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Southern Nazarene University.
Senior Vice President of Mission and Culture
Carol Gray has served The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital since 1977 when she was hired as a volunteer coordinator. She became assistant administrator within the next year and served in that role until 2004 when she was named the chief operating officer. In 2016, Gray transitioned from COO to senior vice president of culture and mission. In this role, she provides strategic leadership to ensure the mission; values and culture of the Hospital are integrated into all aspects of the organization. She is instrumental in promoting a values-based organizational culture, and providing guidance, consultation, and assistance to leaders across the Hospital in understanding and fulfilling their responsibility for mission integration into their area of service. Carol Gray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southern Nazarene University.
Pediatrician / Vice President of Medical Informatics
Darin K. Brannan, M.D.
Dr. Brannan is a Board-Certified pediatrician who has been actively involved in caring for children with complex medical needs in the community for many years. This medical focus provides insight in helping to provide information access and improving patient care. He started working at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital in 1997 on a part-time basis as he maintained his own private practice. In 2007, he joined the Hospital full-time as medical director of inpatient services. As Vice President of Medical Informatics, he also oversees the implementation of all medical information systems (Electronic Medical Record, Laboratory Information System, and Radiology Information System) and the training of medical professionals in their use. Dr. Brannan is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Brannan holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Pediatrician/Chief Medical Officer
Michael Johnson, M.D., MBA
Dr. Johnson is a Board-Certified pediatrician who pursued his medical training at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and his pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He holds an MBA (Medical Management Focus) from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He began working at The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital as a hospitalist in 2013 and then joined the team full time in 2015 as medical director of inpatient services. Dr. Johnson was named vice president of medical services/medical director in 2016 and chief medical officer in 2020.
Pediatric Physiatrist / Medical Director of
Suneet Sahgal, M.D.
Dr. Suneet Sahgal is a Board-Certified pediatric physiatrist who joined The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital in September of 2015 as the director of rehabilitation services. He is a graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed residencies in general pediatrics at the Lutheran General Children’s Hospital, and in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He has a special interest in spasticity management and taking care of children with cerebral palsy. He came to Oklahoma City with the goal of improving the quality of life and access for children with special needs in the state of Oklahoma.
Vice President of Rehabilitation and Education
Becky Vogt joined the staff of The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital in 1998 as an occupational therapist. In 2004, she became the director of rehabilitation and in 2007 the director of rehabilitation and education. In 2016, Vogt was named vice president of rehabilitation and education. Becky Vogt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Oklahoma.
